Job Description Restaurant Servers
Areas of responsibility
  • Provide service for 14 guests in the dining room (2 seatings)
  • Greet guests and be able to read a situation and create instant solutions in possibly compromising situations to maximize guest dining experience
  • Coordinate the ordering, pick up and delivery of all food and beverage to work station
  • Maintain friendly and professional attitude towards guests and coworkers
  • Understand food safety programs and maintain USPH sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout work area
  • Practice up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
  • Request proof of identity to verify age of guest before serving alcoholic drinks to guests that appear to be underage
  • Have the ability and confidence to discontinue serving alcohol to specific guests when necessary
  • Responsible for all side work and other duties assigned by management
  • Must be receptive to working fast food outlets including Castaway Cay and buffets
  • Partner with Servers to provide a seamless experience to the guests
  • Additional duties may be included during midnight buffet and snacks
Profile
  • Should have a good knowledge of international wines and cocktail recipes as well as brands of alcohol
  • Must be open minded to any training and continuous improvement of service techniques required to achieve a higher standard
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the service industry (in a high volume restaurant setting)
  • Ship experience preferred but not necessary
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
  • Comprehensive English is a must
